About Freelance Robotics

Freelance Robotics is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to teach young people the value of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through exciting robotics competitions.  Founded in 2008 by Kathy and August Giese, Freelance Robotics has sponsored FRC team 443 for several years and with the help of donors and volunteers we hope to be able to continue to do so for many more.  Our intent is to expand our sponsorship to other robotics competitions like the First Lego League and BEST.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it or stop by and see what it is we do at any of the events listed on the events calendar.  Our meetings are open to anyone who would like to participate.  We are actively seeking middle and high school students with an interest in helping our team.  No prior experience is necessary to make a major contribution.  Students can help in the following areas: Leadership, engineering, building, organizing, video creation, photography, website content creation, fund raising, outreach, and much more.

About the board of directors

The board of directors is composed of mentors, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and student leaders.  The main attribute that they all have in common is a desire to raise interest STEM education and compete in exciting robotics competitions.  The board typically meets once a month and the meetings are open to anyone who would like to participate.  Check the calendar for meeting dates and times.

Donations

Only through the generous contributions of a wide variety of people can we continue to inspire young people to achieve greatness.  All donations are tax deductible.  Donors receive a receipt and recognition on our website.  Gold and Platinum level sponsors also receive recognition at the robotics event unless otherwise directed.
